I started this blog because I wanted to share my creativity with the world. When I’m feeling stressed, annoyed, or even bored, doing artistic and creative things is my outlet and my release. My blog tells my story through many various creative undertakings and my desire to show you that you too can make, bake, and create all things pretty. How would I describe my style? Well, I’ll let YOU be the judge of that, but some of my biggest influences are: Martha Stewart, Candace Olsen, and Ina Garten. They are all tremendous talents and their styles resonate with me, and I try to incorporate some of their moves into my own work. Throughout the years, many of my friends, family members, and colleagues have encouraged me to really pursue event planning or creating things to sell. Admittedly, I did not always have the confidence to make a career out of it, but planning and decorating for events is not only one of my passions, but it is also very much therapeutic to me. I’ve never viewed planning an event as work, but rather it has always been a fun activity or project to do. My primary focus when planning an event is the details. I’m looking for the “wow,” “the jaw drop,” the “amazed-look,” or the “breathtaking” response. UPDATE // I am on hiatus with event planning. After having two children and being an Assistant Teacher, I find making time for event planning happen is very limited. Instead, I use my creativity with my students at school and create Art and Science projects and come home to my children and give them my attention. Tuesday / June 9, 2020 UPDATE: I am currently a furloughed Assistant Teacher at my childrens' school. I have focused my time and energy in making cloth masks for the community, while balancing being a mom at home to my children. --- Only recently has there been a demand for my talent. I was encouraged to try to plan and decorate events as a career. The dream that was once a faraway dream is slowly becoming a reality. And with each successful event and compliment, my confidence has grown immensely. It was definitely after this recent string of very successful events, that I got the nudge that I needed to really seriously devote myself to this. So, I’d like to introduce to you: merry lavender event and company An event design and planning company for your special occasions. I am taking on projects for the month of August-November. If you have a yearly birthday party for your child, wedding/bridal shower, milestone birthday, baby shower, or graduation party you would like for me to help plan and decorate, please reach out to me for pricing details.
